For over a century, the Loomis Library has been an integral part of our town. While it eventually became part of the Placer County library system, budgetary constraints led to the heartbreaking closure of our library in 2016. In November 2016, Loomis voters approved a quarter-cent general sales tax. The Loomis Town Council has managed these tax dollars wisely, with oversight provided by a citizen advisory board, to fund our local library. As a result, LL&CLC has kept its promise of being both a library and community center to serve residents of all ages, delivering more programs and services than ever tailored to meet the community’s needs.
In November 2024, voters can approve the continuation of this inexpensive general sales tax, just .25 cents per $100 taxable purchase, paid by residents and non-residents alike. Passing this measure is essential to secure future funding for our beloved library for future generations. Vote YES on Measure C!
